Lower Mill Estate ‘Love Book’
Jeremy Paxton, passionate owner of the ground-breaking Lower Mill Estate, had come up with a wonderful – and deeply personal – way of celebrating this very unique place. The Love Book, which features the 100 things he most loves about the estate, was to be sent to prospective buyers as well as distributed to existing residents. Full of anecdotes and thoughts about the idyllic lifestyle at Lower Mill, the Love Book was to be an ‘advert’ you could linger over.
Knowing that Paxton’s sparse prose and sumptuous photography needed an appropriate frame, we tackled this major project armed with the timeless creative adage, ‘less is more’, giving the pages plenty of white space to ‘breathe’. And because the finished book needed to have real impact – to be a chunky object that would be pored over and cherished – we opted for a book-bound finish. Needless to say, Paxton’s commitment to the environment is reflected in the stock, which is sourced from sustainable forests.
We’re delighted with the result – a book that we believe is as gorgeous as the estate it celebrates.
